During this exciting 3-day weaving class, you will design and weave your own scarf, exploring colour and its interaction with simple weave structures to create unexpected and often surprising patterns.

Heather will take you step-by-step through the process, including designing the colourways and pattern for your scarf: the design can be as simple or as complex as desired; the main considerations will be to create something comfortable to wear that is reflective of your own creativity.

You will be shown how to make a warp, set up a rigid heddle loom, select weaving patterns, weave your scarf, and finish it with some hand stitching or tassel techniques. You will leave with technical notes so you can continue to build on what you have learned during the workshop.

This class is suitable for all abilities. No prior weaving experience is necessary as full instruction will be given.
