In this one-day workshop, you will experiment with:

  • dyeing a mixture of sample yarns, pre-felts, silk and wool fabrics and fibres using acid dyes
  • over-dyeing and simple clamping
  • mixing pigments in a variety of ways to create a larger and more personal palette of colours.

At the end of the day, you will have a range of sample pieces which you can incorporate into other work or keep as a record in a sketchbook to develop further in future.

The price of the class includes a pack of sampler size fabrics and fibres and all dyes.

This class is suitable for all abilities; no prior experience of dyeing is required.
